ORHUN EXCHANGE PROGRAMME
It is a student and faculty exchange programme carried out within the scope of protocols to be signed between the members of the Organization of Turkic States (Turkic Council) Turkic Universities Union.
Within the scope of the Orhun Exchange Programme, students enrolled in the formal education programmes of the member universities can participate in the student exchange. The exchange involves a student enrolled in a higher education institution to continue a part of his/her education in another higher education institution that is a party to the Orkhun Exchange Programme Protocol. The student exchange period covers at least one semester and at most two semesters. The semester calculation can be changed by considering the education system. However, the total duration of the exchange cannot exceed one academic year. Preparatory, first year and senior year students of the students who continue their formal education programmes cannot apply to the exchange programme.
.Note: Students cannot go to the country of their own citizenship as an Orhun exchange student in accordance with the signed protocol.
Countries to apply for Orhun Exchange Programme:
The exchange programme will be carried out to certain higher education institutions of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Hungary within the scope of the Orkhon Programme. Click here for Higher Education Institutions.

The minimum requirements for becoming an Orhun Exchange Programme student are as follows:
- To be a student enrolled in the formal education programme of the member universities of the Union,
- The overall academic grade point average must be at least two and a half out of four,
- The grade system is based on the decisions of the universities accepting the student in the equivalents of the grades calculated in the four-quadrant system. The course contents of the university to be visited within the scope of the programme should be carefully examined.
- Preparatory, first year and final year students who are continuing their formal education programmes cannot apply for the exchange programme.

Tuition Expenses
Students continue to pay the contribution/tuition fee they are obliged to pay by registering to their own higher education institutions during the period they are Orhun Exchange Programme students. Students participating in the exchange programme cannot freeze their registration. Students do not pay tuition fees to the higher education institution they will attend within the framework of the exchange programme.
Orhun Exchange Programme students may be subject to other financial obligations imposed by the higher education institutions to their students. This issue is included in the Orhun Exchange Programme Student Obligation Agreement. Higher education institutions cannot make additional financial demands from Orhun Exchange Programme students other than the financial payments they demand from their own students.
Note: The student will cover the transport costs himself/herself. Since the coverage of other expenses such as accommodation and food varies according to the host institution, the facilities offered by the university to be visited should be carefully examined. Otherwise, these expenses will be covered by the student himself/herself.
Note: Students whose applications are accepted must submit all the documents to the Rectorate Building 5th Floor Turkish World Mobility Coordination Office by hand or by mail until 21.11.2025. Delays in the post will not be accepted.
