Common Compulsory Foreign Language (English) Exemption Exam
COMPULSORY FOREIGN LANGUAGE (ENGLISH) EXEMPTION EXAM INFORMATION NOTICE
The Compulsory Foreign Language (English) Exemption Exam will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 15:00, in face-to-face sessions at the Faculties or Vocational Schools where the students are enrolled.
Students who have newly enrolled at our University and will be taking Foreign Language courses for the first time may participate in the exam. This right may only be exercised once.
Transfer students and students currently studying in the 2nd year are not eligible to take the exam.
Students participating in the exam must carry one of their official identification documents (ID card, driver’s license, or passport).
The exam will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions and will last 50 minutes.
The results of the Exemption Exam will be sent to the Vocational School Directorates where the students are enrolled; students will be able to obtain their results from their respective student affairs offices.
According to Article 17/1 of Balıkesir University’s Associate and Undergraduate Education and Training Regulations, students must score at least 60 points (CC) or above in order to be exempted from the course coded YDI 1001.
Students who achieve 60 points or higher will be exempted from the relevant course.
Each student who takes the exam is deemed to have accepted the rules and procedures of the exam.
